Who We Are

Introduction

We have been in the business of helping people to obtain the very best in their lives and achieving the lifestyle choices they desire since the early 1990s. We are both registered with our professional regulators and we hold adequate insurance and current enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Documents (DBS).

Physical and mental health go hand in hand and are not inseparable therefore, we utilise a strategy of combined holistic medicine ensuring that mind and body receive therapeutic treatment, helping you to manage injuries, medical conditions, anxieties, phobias and unwanted habits. Our goal will always be to make your life liveable by enhancing your physical and mental health.

Our clients can choose to be seen in our private clinic on a face-to-face basis, or if preferred, on a secure on-line platform, such as Zoom or Teams etc… In deed this is how our international and some of our UK clients choose. Our preference is always to see you whenever on a face-to-face basis as this allows a therapeutic connection to be developed, however, we are happy to let you make the choice. Whichever route you decide upon you can rest assured that you will have our full and undivided attention. As trained psychotherapists we can support your treatments in physiotherapy, sports therapy, acupuncture and hypnotherapy with a combination of psychological strategies enabling a truly holistic approach to be adopted to enhance and embrace the mind and body relationship.

Testimonials

What our clients say...

"I have been going to see Kevin Walsh for physiotherapy treatments for a variety of injuries incurred from falling off horses while competing in both flat and hunt meetings. Originally I had consulted with Kevin for an ongoing low back condition. I had previously seen several health care professionals who had encouraged preventive measures such as "don't ride". However, Kevin retrieved me from this despairing condition and encouraged me to carry on riding. I find his treatments thorough and his depth of knowledge very helpful and I really couldn't do my job without him. I would recommend him to anyone in an instant."

Emily
Amateur Jockey, St Albans

"I was not expecting such a high standard of 'Physio' on my doorstep in the countryside. For previous dance-related and ski injuries I had consulted the best I could find in London. Kevin is right up there with the professional I had consulted in the past who had worked with members of the Royal Ballet and the England football team. He truly thinks around the problem and works out a long term approach to resolving it. You know you are not just a 30 minute session in the book: you really matter and your return to fitness is an intellectual problem and a healing that Kevin really wants to achieve."

Emma
City Lawyer, London

"I came to see Kevin Walsh following a skiing accident in which I damaged the ligaments of my left knee. His care, attention, clinical knowledge and skill put me at ease. After several months I was back on my feet and skiing in Austria with confidence. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to other athletes or members of the public."

Jacey
Businesswoman, Bedford

"I have been a patient with Kevin Walsh for over two years and have received a great deal of benefit. I have seen many different professionals over a number of years and he is by far the best. I have suffered with sciatica and lower back problems, for which his in-depth knowledge, physio and acupuncture skills in particular have worked wonders and given me substantial pain relief. He is very professional, friendly, understanding and the treatment room is very relaxing and warm. Kevin is always quick to ensure you're comfortable and I would thoroughly recommend him to anybody who needs to receive the best in treatment."

Laura
Aircraft Cabin Crew Member, Bedfordshire

"When I first went to see Kevin, my back was in spasm and I could not even bend to put my socks due to the stiffness and pain. His consultation put me at ease and he was easily able to work out the problem. He was very thorough and the session didn’t feel rushed. He has a lot of high tech equipment and his soft tissue manipulations were gentle and effective. After the treatment, Kevin talked about strategies for my aftercare. I came to see him twice and felt amazing after both sessions. In the past I have seen other therapists but now I always recommend Kevin to my family and friends."

Laura

“I have been coming to see Kevin for over 10 years for massages, acupuncture and wellness. He offers a very personal service and takes his time to get to know his clients well. The atmosphere is calming, professional and friendly. He explains things to me in a way I can understand and gives advice that is beneficial. I would highly recommend his services.”

Teaching Assistant

"Very professional, reliable and a fantastic clinic to deal with all your needs. I have been here many of times and always come away happy and feeling 100% better than when I went. Would recommend Kevin Walsh to all"

Police Officer

"I have visited Kevin a couple of times now, he is very professional and friendly. He listens to you and also gives you his honest findings. Unlike a lot of private practices it's not about the money it's about the personal touch. Would highly recommend."

About Kevin

My first career was spent in the NHS ambulance service working in accident and emergency medicine where I gained extensive knowledge and experience in the management of trauma, anatomy and physiology, human psychology and neuroscience. I became a qualified NHS clinical tutor, supervisor and Pre-Hospital Trauma Trauma Life Support instructor.

I have delivered clinical training at a National Ambulance Training College and previously held a guest lecturing post at Hertfordshire University. As a senior manager I developed an interest in emergency planning and became a Department of Health CBRN Instructor.

I have embraced further educational training to become a Chartered Physiotherapist, Sports Therapist and Medical Acupuncturist establishing a private clinic for musculoskeletal medicine. Most recently, I have obtained a locum post as an advanced Paramedic in primary care at a local GP surgery.

While attending a clinical workshop, I was introduced to medical hypnosis within the NHS. I was immediately inspired and undertook training with several professional clinical establishments. I have also trained as a qualified hypnotherapy supervisor for the National Council Hypnotherapy.

"I remain passionate about education and scientific research and I am an associate member of the hypnosis and psychosomatic section founded within the Royal Society of Medicine, London. Therefore, attending professional lectures and presentations which continuously present the most up-to-date clinical practice and evidence-based research on medical and clinical hypnosis, including all international studies and NHS clinical trials.."

In my spare time I enjoy hiking, rock climbing and abseiling in Derbyshire, Cumbria and Scotland. I am currently training for two further qualifications to become a qualified Mountain Training (MT) Rock Climbing and Low Land Hill Walking Instructor. Presently I am writing two books on the application of hypnotic language for medical professionals.

About Joy

Originally, I studied holistic medicine and became qualified in anatomy, physiology reflexology, remedial massage, Indian head massage and beauty facial's with the international institute of Health & Holistic Therapies (IIHHT). I then discovered the powerful and incredible skill set of clinical hypnotherapy and psychology and have never looked back.

"Previously, I worked in a large corporate industry as a Personal Assistant to three Directors where I was able to observe the stress and strain that modern day life had on those directors, staff members and new interns. Deciding on a route to help alleviate this dilemma I undertook training in Stress management with the (ACMHL) and further training with Oxbridge College, gaining a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement."

I am a keen explorer and enjoy the outdoors and I am currently training to be a Mountain Training (MT) Low Land Hill Walking Instructor. My hobbies are walking, photography and using the skills of hypnosis and psychotherapy in our private clinic and also embracing the skills of psychotherapy with clients in the great outdoors.
